It’s true we actually made it to Kauai. The flights were all on time and we arrived at Lihue Aiport, don-on-deck-princeville.jpgSouth Kauai about 12:30 today. After picking up our rental car and luggage we took a leisurely drive north to Princeville Resort. We had reserved a garden view room only to be surprised by a beautiful poolside/ocean view room. We simply walk out our patio and we are at the pool and beach.

The weather is very Seattle-like, 80 degrees and broken clouds. Tomorrow we are going to do some sightseeing and have some fun in theheather-princeville-sunset.jpg sun. We will be here on the north end of the island until Sunday. I have included a picture of Heather taken at sunset on the beach. It looks like it may be close to the same location as the banner used at the top of the blog.

Sunday we will be heading to Poipu on the south end of the island where we have a few more adventures planned that should also be good photo opportunities.

Johnny is posting on his blog from Germany if you are interested in hearing what he is up to. Thank you again for your prayers. When Heather and I sit down and look at each other we just start smiling and giggling at the fact that we are actually here. It has been such a hard year that it is just shocking really to be here feeling pretty normal. Please continue to pray for our health while here.

God is good, all the time, God is good.

Heather, I missed your beautiful face during lecture yesterday, and I’m so delighted to see the picture of you in Hawaii! You and Don continue to bless my heart and encourage my faith by sharing your journey. Enjoy every smell, taste, touch and eye-full of your time there. What an awesome God! Ruth
p.s. we are blessing God for restoring our son to us. He has 100 days now and is seeking God. More than we asked or imagined. Thanks for your prayers.
