It’s beenping-dad.jpgping-bo.jpg a few days since I have written to you and as I have said several times in the past, no news is good news. I have been feeling pretty good and playing some competitive ping pong with son Bo. He practices a lot with his friend Andrew and I am having to really work hard to beat him. I have been pretty tired though, sleeping a lot, so that’s my excuse when I lose to him!

Daryl Johnson and Rod Wilson came to visit last week from Regent College in Vancouver BC, Canada. While the time together was short the encouragement was huge. They are both heroes of mine.

Taylor Jessup came to visit from Wednesday to Saturday and that was a real treat. He attends Azusa Pacific University and was given an airline ticket to visit by his girlfriend since heping-taylor.jpg was not able to be with us last summer with the rest of the Jessup family. I don’t know how exciting his time was but he did tag along with me when I went to Simio Inc. and to a doctor’s appointment with Dr Doug Lee. We did get some ping pong in as well as a movie (Michael Clayton) with George Clooney along with a birthdapp-tajlor.jpgy dinner for Taylor’s 20th. The picture on the left is Zack, Bo, Don and Taylor trying to look cool! It was such an encouragement to me to know Taylor would want to come hang with his Uncle Don. He is also one of my heroes.

It is minor surgery and only takes about 30 minutes for the surgery and a few hours for recovery. Tuesday I have another CT scan as a baseline for the new chemo I begin on Thursday. Instead of getting chemo every 3 weeks I will now be on chemo weekly for about 2 hours. We are of course hopeful this chemo is going to really destroy and conquer my cancer.

I continue to have physical therapy every week and I have picked up my mandolin again to practice chords and get my finger calluses back. Since I am a beginner, my fingers struggle with the narrow neck and frets compared to a guitar. I am hoping to start lessons soon.

Johnny continues to thrive in Germany. We are up in the air on traveling to Germany over Christmas since Johnny may have plans to travel with his friends. I can’t say I blame him, traveling with parents or friends, not a tough decision especially when he knows he will be home 2 months later! Stay tuned, plans change daily!

Please pray for physical healing, that this new chemo will be effective in fighting this cancer.

God is good, all the time, God is good.

Greetings Don! It seems like whenever I wonder how you are doing, you send another update! How cool! The videos are even cooler! We continue to pray that the new chemo will “kick butt” on those nasty cancer cells!
Blessings to Aquaman and the rest of the crew!
