Don went into the emergency room at NW Hospital last night with a high fever. This morning he is still in the ER, but they are preparing a room for him to move upstairs. Heather is with him.

He has not had a single strong day since his chemo last Thursday, which is discouraging to him. Yesterday he felt lousy all day as well. During the past months of chemo treatment he has always looked forward to some good days after chemo when he could be up and about doing things with the family and taking care of a little business. His next weekly treatment with the new chemo is this Thursday, so please pray with me that Don can have a few good days before then.

    Dear Don and Heather,
Dan and I have recently been introduced to your blog and have both been deeply touched by your journey of courage, strength and encouragement. Honestly, our lives have changed since reading your story and with each day, new anticipation of learning more how the Lord is working in your lives awaits. Dancing on the edge of heaven. How appropriate. Our love grows deeper for you both with each passing day. Prayer does two things; moves the had of God and changes the hearts of men. I’ve never seen this more prevalent than over these past months as we’ve turned the pages of your life. Thank you for sharing with the world, your story, your journey as you lay prostrate before our King, our Lord and Savior who’s love captures our hearts, each and every one of us.
God is good all the time, God is good!
    We love you!

    Don and Heather,
I know that God is holding you both close to Him, I pray you feel His comfort. I prayed and asked that my energy and that of everyone who prays for you is delivered to you now to give you whatever strength you need.

    Love and Prayers,

Don and Heather, I have been out of the country the past week and you were one of the first things I asked Doug about upon return. I’ve been asking the Lord what I can say of encouragement and the response is to let you know that your are “sitting on my mind”. My first thought and prayer upon awaking this morning was you. Tho we’ve never met I am SO connected and I care so much….that is the Lord. I’m praying that you both can rest on the cloud of prayers that are going up for you and that His presence with you is palpable…you can FEEL it…He is so present. The rest of my prayer was just speaking His name…there IS something about that name. Know that you are loved….exceedingly so by Jesus and our Father….and also by His kids that have so taken you into our hearts. What an amazing thing, the Body of Christ. May you experience His mercy and grace and great measure today.

    Don and Heather,
Fond memories run through my mind whenever I read your messages. I think about Hawaii with Bo, Matt, and James, the parties we had with OWS families, Karaoke, the sleep over’s, etc.. Our beautiful kids, they are all going to be great adults. Bo knows how we feel about him and he will always be welcome in our home and part of our family.

Deneil and I have benefited so much from reading your thoughts and we are so completely amazed at how you have stepped up to the challenge of your illness and been willing to share yourself with others. Your strength is amazing, both of you.

    With all of our love,
    Mike and Deneil
